Lorna Finch.Currently serving as Manager of Workforce Development, Lorna’s adult education and training experience spans over 25 years and various locations in the US. She has worked in New York with Latino workers; in Texas with women’s programs and non-traditional employment; in Arkansas coordinating adult education programs, and now in Missouri in the workforce development field.

At SLCC her responsibilities include initiating education and training programs, collaborating with agencies and community-based organizations and obtaining resources from state and federal sources to support educational opportunities for area residents.

Lorna received her B.A. from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, and Diploma of Education from Queens University, Belfast, Northern Ireland and her M.Ed. from UM St. Louis. Another valuable addition to her educational experiences was her participation in the Leaders Institute (NILD) in Eugene, Oregon, which took place in 2000. This year, Lorna’s goal is to spread the word with SLCC colleagues that AAWCC events and meetings are both fun and productive. They provide great networking opportunities for members as well as scholarships and other worthwhile assistance for women of this region.
