Image of Diane Savoca.Diane Savoca currently serves as the Coordinator of Student Transition at SLCC Florissant Valley where she has spent 10 of her 33 years in education. During her tenure here, she has taught public relations, small group, interpersonal, cross cultural communication, interviewing and public speaking in the Communications department. Diane spent 9 years at Southern Illinois University as Coordinator of the Very Special Arts Program and as a faculty member in the Communications department.

Diane has been with AAWCC-St. Louis for 8 years, and helped to develop the first AAWCC scholarship guidelines and application process. She believes that "leadership is a god-given gift" and that many leadership skills can be learned. She is committed to "empowering women to help themselves become productive and satisfied members of a global community". Her goals for our organization are "to increase membership by 20% within the next academic year, double the amount of money available for scholarships, and ensure that scholarship winners attend at least two AAWCC meetings."
