to Find Materials
Use information
from the Library Catalog record to find an item.
Status
The status line will tell you whether a book is on the shelf, checked
out, lost, or has recently been ordered. Journals, magazines and
newspapers cannot be checked out.
Location
Check here to find out which of the STLCC Libraries has the material.
- FP
stands for Forest Park
- FV
stands for Florissant Valley
- M stands
for Meramec
- W stands
for Wildwood
- "Stacks,"
"Reference," "Learning Lab," "Index
Tables," etc. indicate specific locations within the
library. As these vary by campus, check with someone at
the Circulation or Reference Desk for directions to these
specific locations.
Call
Number
Write down the call
number. It acts as the "address" of an item in the library.
The Dewey
Decimal Classification scheme is used at all STLCC Libraries.
If you need help locating a call number in the library, ask
at the Circulation or Reference Desk.
