Using the Library Catalog.

This module covers how to search the St. Louis Community College (STLCC) Library Catalog, using both Search It! and the Classic Catalog.

When you have completed this module you should be able to:

  • describe the different kinds of materials included in Search It! and the Classic Catalog
  • find books on a topic using a Keyword search
  • find books by subject heading
  • identify the location of books or journals
  • read a call number and use it to find items in the library
  • find an item placed on reserve using a Course Reserve search
  • renew materials and check your library record online
