The Art Department at Forest Park is proud to have three art galleries to use for the further education of students and for the pleasure of the general public. The galleries serve as a vital teaching tool for the department.
Our Gallery of Contemporary Art is located off the library complex in the heart of the campus. The Gallery hosts a wide variety of exhibitions. Exhibitors are gathered from the St. Louis area and frequently include faculty from the Art Department. The Gallery hosts 10 to 12 shows a year, including the annual Student Art Exhibition every spring which serves as a culminating event to the school year.
The new Art Annex Gallery is located in the entryway of the Art Annex located at 5435 Highland Park, just to the southeast of the main campus. This intimate gallery space provides a place for ceramics and printmaking students to display their work.
The Gateway Tower Gallery is located in, where else, but the Gateway Tower office building located at One Memorial Drive in downtown St. Louis. The Art Department provides approximately 6 to 8 exhibitions yearly. Exhibits consist of work from art students and art faculty members from the SLCC-FP campus.
