The main focus of the College Writing Center is to assist any Meramec student with any Meramec writing assignment. The center also offers four one-credit refresher courses covering grammar, spelling, sentence combining and paragraph writing. The Writing Center is located on the Meramec campus in Communications North 122. Satellite centers are located at the South County and West County campuses.
The Meramec Academic Center is a free drop-in center assisting students in all subjects and at all levels. Meramec students can stop by the center for help with time management, reading comprehension, note taking, test taking, vocabular, and computer usage.
Meramec's Honors Program is specially designed for students who have demonstrated strong academic ability. The Program promotes scholastic excellence in students who are academically well prepared and highly motivated. It will challenge both recent high school graduates and nontraditional students so that they can more fully develop their potentials and abilities.
Blackboard offers students a consistent interface for course information, a home base for resources on the Web, and tools which encourage dialogue with fellow students and the instructor.
