Currents:  Currents, Meramec's Literary Arts Magazine, features student work.

Meramec Writing Festival:  Every two years, in the spring, the Meramec English Department hosts the Meramec Writing Festival, featuring writers of many genres.

Speakers: Meramec's English Department often hosts speakers on a variety of topics of interest to students.

Poetry Cafe: Meramec's Student Poetry Cafe is open to all SLCC-M students and offers them a chance to read their poetry to an interested audience.
