To continue to keep you informed, we are sharing an update about the availability of COVID-19 vaccines.
St. Louis Community College is working with state and local authorities to make the COVID-19 vaccine available for our employees.
Based on Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services policy, most STLCC employees will be categorized in phase 2 of the vaccination plan, which includes higher education. Some employees, such as the first responders in our police department, will be eligible for earlier vaccination. The exact timing will be based on the available supply of vaccines, which is dependent upon state and local authorities.
As a proactive step, STLCC provided the names of all employees to the local public health department for pre-registration purposes.
• |
Once a vaccine is available for individuals in your phase, you will be notified. You can register for an appointment if you wish to do so. |
• |
It is important to note: If you qualify for an earlier phase based on your age or particular health risk factors, you may be eligible to receive the vaccine in an earlier phase. |
• |
If you believe this may apply to you, you should pre-register as an individual with your health care provider or your local department of public health. |
• |
Information about how to pre-register as an individual can be found on the St. Louis County COVID-19 information site or the St. Louis City COVID-19 site.
The College strongly encourages all employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine. For most job categories at STLCC, the COVID-19 vaccination is not a condition of employment.
Widespread vaccination is the primary way that the current COVID-19 pandemic will be ended. Information about COVID-19 vaccine safety can be found at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
If you have any questions about vaccination, please send an email to the STLCC COVID-19 Employee and Student Engagement Team at
covid-19@stlcc.edu.
Thank you,
STLCC Employee and Student Engagement Team
