STLCC Vax to School = $500 to Employees

Hello Faculty and Staff,

St. Louis Community College has continually demonstrated its commitment to the health and safety of our campus communities during this rapidly changing pandemic. As another academic year approaches, we would like to offer you – our faculty and staff – an incentive to maximize your health and safety.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 23, all full-time and part-time employees will be eligible to receive $500 through the STLCC Vax to School incentive program.

As an employee, you are eligible to receive the incentive if:

1. You have received a final COVID-19 vaccination shot.

2. You have submitted proof of your COVID-19 vaccination.

To explain: A person has received a final COVID-19 vaccination shot after receiving both doses of a two-dose series such as Pfizer or Moderna; or a single dose of a one-dose series such as Johnson & Johnson.

Employees who have already gotten a COVID-19 vaccination, prior to Monday, Aug. 23, are eligible to receive the STLCC Vax to School incentive.

NOTE: Since this is a new program, we wanted to let know you as soon as possible.

• You will be required to submit proof of your COVID-19 vaccination to a secure system.

• The incentive will be paid through payroll; and we are developing the details of when it will be paid.

• We will let you know more details in the coming weeks.

Again, to be eligible, you are encouraged to get a final COVID-19 vaccination no later than Friday, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m.

Please understand that STLCC strongly recommends a COVID-19 vaccination as an effective way to protect yourself, but it is not required. However, the College is requiring all students, faculty, staff and visitors to wear masks inside at all STLCC locations.

If you have questions about the employee incentive or the College’s COVID-19 response, send an email to covid19@stlcc.edu.

We will continue to evaluate guidance from public health agencies and may adjust our policies in an effort to keep our campus community safe. I have every confidence that the students, faculty, and staff at St. Louis Community College can adapt and work together for the health and safety of our community!

Sincerely,

Jeff L. Pittman, Ph.D.
Chancellor
