STLCC Faculty and Staff,
Welcome to the spring semester! I hope all of you had a restful and peaceful winter break with family and friends. As we return to what promises to be a busy semester, I want to share an update with you about the College’s COVID-19 protocols.
During the last two years, the College has put into place protocols, messaging, signage and other mechanisms to reduce the spread of COVID-19. |
With the rise of the Omicron variant, we need to reiterate a few points: |
• |
The College requires masks to be worn indoors by all faculty, staff, students and visitors at all STLCC locations. Wearing a mask while indoors with others reduces the risk of both getting and transmitting the virus. |
• |
Masks must be worn properly over both your nose and mouth and should have a close fit.
• |
Enhanced cleaning practices are still in place.
• |
Hand sanitizer and self-help cleaning kits are available for classrooms, department offices, etc. Please contact FIX-IT to order more supplies if necessary.
• |
Social distancing is strongly encouraged as much as possible. Facilities has adjusted many workspaces and classrooms to accommodate social distancing. Please talk to your manager or supervisor to discuss distancing needs, if necessary.
• |
Stay at home if you are sick or if you’re showing symptoms. You should contact your health care provider, and if possible, get tested for COVID-19.
• |
The College strongly recommends a COVID-19 vaccine and a booster vaccination.
The most effective way to protect yourself from COVID-19 is to get vaccinated. |
• |
If you test positive for COVID-19, please follow the current CDC recommendations for quarantine and isolation. |
• |
If you are exposed to or if you test positive for COVID-19 and you’ve been on campus, please report it to the College at covid19@stlcc.edu and notify your manager or supervisor.
• |
If you live with someone who tests positive for COVID-19, you have an obligation to notify your manager or supervisor.
Again, continue to maintain a social distance whenever possible, wash your hands frequently, and stay at home if you are sick. |
