LANTHINIDES AND ACTINIDES

The lanthinides and actinides are located at the very bottom of the periodic table. They make up the part of period 6 and 7 in the table. They are also refrred to as inner-transition metals.Not much is known about the properties of these metals. Most of the inner transition metals are man-made metals and is manufactured in various laboratories in the world. Their main use is in nuclear medicine and building space ships.
