We are again offering LabVIEW Basics I and II in credit and non-credit options between January 20 and May 5. Registration for the credit option is now available for Spring Semester. Registration for the Continuing Ed (non-credit) option will be available the last week in December 2009. The courses can only be found in the online versions of the schedules, not the paper schedules.
LabVIEW Basics I
Course Description:
This course presents the basic functions of the front panel and the block diagram used in LabVIEW as well as how to
implement and troubleshoot VIs. The course addresses arrays and clusters,
basic information storage, data acquisition, subVIs, and state machines.
Prerequisites: Experience using Microsoft Windows and
programming experience; or consent of instructor.
Dates: Wednesdays, January 20 through Mar 31, 2010

LabVIEW Basics II
Course Description:
This course is a continuation of LabVIEW Basics I. Students will learn local and
global variables used to hold and transfer data, use of property nodes, control
references, invoke nodes to control the user interface, different file formats,
and the basics of events and queues.
Prerequisites: LabVIEW Basics I
Dates: Wednesdays, April 7 through May 5, 2010
Times: 5:30pm to 8:15pm

- Follow the instructions at Register for Class Offerings to register for the courses
- Pay the fees (approximately $166 for LabVIEW Basics I in district and $83 for LabVIEW Basics II in district)
- Purchase the text (approximately $77)
How to register for the LabVIEW courses as credit courses
- Apply for Admission by going to the St. Louis Community College Web Site and clicking on the Applying is Easy Button and then follow the steps to be admitted
- Search for the LabVIEW Basics I course, EE 531, or LabVIEW Basics II, EE532, in the
Interactive Class Schedule
- Follow the instructions at Registration Webpage to register for the courses
- Pay the fees (approximately $166 for LabVIEW Basics I in district and $83 for LabVIEW Basics II in district)
