Right below Jerry Smith's vineyards Crowley's Ridge meets the Mississippi in a cascade of boulders that produces a unique section of river bank.
In 1995 the Ohio river flood backed up the Mississippi and forced the water level to a record breaking 41 feet over flood stage in little Commerce. The town went under and not everyone came back to rebuild.
