Ellen "Red" Jackson
Ellen "Red" Jackson, 84, a retired nurse, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, the Rev. William T. Glynn, pastor. Interment: Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
Visitation: 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, with family hour 7 to 8 p.m., at the church.
She was born July 4, 1924, in Rayville, La. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Jackson, in May 2005.
Survivors: Sons, Douglas F. Baker (Karen) of St. Louis, Mo., and Tommie Lee Jackson of Fort Worth; daughter, Ella Jackson of Forest Hill; sister, Hazel Jefferson (Sonny) of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
