Tonky West Shelter (23CR215)

The Tonky West Shelter was tested by an archaeological team from the University of Missouri - Columbia. This site is very isolated and located on private land; it is not open to the public. A single pictograph was noted at the north end of the shelter.

Large boulders cover most of the floor area of the Tonky West Shelter (23CR215).

The pictograph is situated directly above a small solutional feature at the back of the shelter.

Black pigment pictograph above a small solutional feature at the back of the shelter.

DStretch filter "LAB" gives a little better definition to the black pigment pictograph above a small solutional feature at the back of the shelter.

Many thanks to R. Bruce McMillan (University of Missouri - Columbia) for encouraging me to relocate this site.
