Uppakra artifacts

Viking metal artifacts in the University of Lund Museum - most of these artifacts come from the site of Uppakra.



Decorated metal brooch. Approximately 10 cm in length and dating AD 800 to 1000.



Silver figure of a man holding a drinking horn and wearing puffy trousers. Approximately 2.5 cm in length. Dated AD 800 to 1000.



Dragon's head out of metal and made as a box or furniture inlay. Approximately 3.5 cm. in length. Dated AD 800 to 1000.



Pendant cast out of metal. Approximately 2.5 cm. in diameter.




Bird brooch from Uppakra. White metal (tin?) coated copper; 6 cm in length.



Decorated trefoil brooch.



Decorated trefoil brooch from Loddekopinge and dated to the 10th c. AD. Approximate size is 6 x 6 cm..

Cast figure of a horse.



S-shaped brooch inlaid with garnets. It is suggested that it was manufactured in Germany or Italy. Approximately 3 x 3 cm.

Comb out of cast metal.



Glass goblet from the vicinity of Lund, dating to 6th century AD.
