Professor Michael Fuller examines shoreline erosion
in Area 10 during June of 2004. The water has begun to erode the squares
in the north edge of the grid and the rainstorms have eroded the plaster
in the wine press and fermentation vat. The rate of erosion will be
slower than in Areas 9 or 10 because most of the squares in Area 10 were
backfilled with excavated soil from Area 11. The main mound of Tell Tuneinir
can be seen in the distance.
