Night view of Canterbury Cathedral. We live and study in the shadow of this famous Cathedral.

Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) is an accredited British institution located in the heart in the heart of beautiful and historic Canterbury in England. CCCU offers a wide variety of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses of study. Students from more than 50 countries study in Canterbury each semester and enjoy the friendly environment and excellent support services provided by CCCU. Professor Fuller will travel to England with the group and remain in Canterbury through the program.

While studying in Canterbury students take four courses. Students take British Politics and Society and either British Literature after 1800 or British History. Students may select two of the following (Drawing I, Drawing II, Drawing III, Painting I, Painting II, Creative Writing, British Literature after 1800, Children's Literature, Studies in Literature, History of Black America, Vietnam, Major Themes in Film, World Religions, Ethics, and Introduction to Sociology. Additional courses may be available at the time of registration!!!

Each student will live with a British family in Canterbury residing not more than two miles from the campus. In the home, the student will have a private room and breakfast will be provided each morning. Students are responsible for all other meals outside of the homestay. CCCU has an excellent cafeteria and meal plans are available for purchase. The homestay will also provide one load of wash per week. CCCU matches students and homestay families with similar interest and lets the relationship develop on its own from there. For most students, the home-stay experience is the beginning of a life-long friendship and provides unique insights into the British way of life.

Estimated program Costs. We estimate airfare at $1000 plus a refundable $200 deposit. This is always subject to change by the airlines. Program fee of $5900 includes transportation to and from London airport, single room in a Canterbury home with daily breakfast, instruction, field-trips and access to all campus facilities at CCCU. It DOES NOT include STLCC tuition fees, health/travel insurance not individual spending money for extra meals, personal travel and souvenirs. We highly recommend students budget between $4000 and $5000 for spending money.

You begin the process by making a $1200 deposit that will be refunded in full if you are not selected for the program.
