Several inscriptions and artifacts were found in the Praetorium by the Yale University Expedition to Dura Europos, Syria. The Praetorium was built between AD 211 and 212.

Painted inscription number 560 from the corridor between rooms 8 and 9 in the Praetorium. The large letters SPQ are 28 cm high while the other letters range from 2 to 4 cm in height.
The text above the SPQ[R] reads:
IMPERA[TORI
CAESARI [...
BONA FORTUNA NOBIS
{erased line summo summo}
SENATUI POPULOQUE ROMANO

Inside the letter "Q" is another text:
SPEM BONAM
IULIO DOMNINO LIB.
ET AUREL(IO) ANTIOCHO
ET DONNIO PASIA
ET SEPTIMIO SIGILLIANO
ET AURELIO MAGNO
ADIUTORIBUS
LEG. IIII SCY(THICAE)

***The text inside the Q indicates that the dedication was made with good hope by Iulio Domnino who served as the Librarius (clerical officier) to the Legio IIII Scythica. The text includes the names of his adiutores (assistants) as Aurelius Antiochus, Donnius Pasia, Septimius Sigillianus, and Aurelius Magnus.
