Mayapan, decorated fragment of plaster in a niche in the interior of the observatory facing on the plaza. dStretch image enhancment shows what I see as an upturned right hand with prominent thumb. The hand may be portrayed within a doorway or frame. Traditional unaided eye astronomy uses an open hand in this manner to gauge 20 degrees.
