Tombstone of a Roman Silversmith in the Getty Villa Museum Marble tombstone of a Silversmith made in Italy, AD 1 - 25.

He is shown fashioning the figure of a dancing satyr on the outside of a small cup. The mallet is partially damaged and missing. The Latin inscription is "P[ublius] Curtilius P[ublii] L[ibertus] Agat[us] Faber Argentarius." His name indicates that he was a freed slave.
