Aerial Photograph
Vertical aerial photograph of Tell Tuneinir taken by Poidebard in the 1930s. The top of the image is north and the tell is in the direct center of the image. The Khabur River flows along the west edge of the image. Numerous buildings are visible in the aerial photograph. Poidebard and other scholars have misinterpreted the near-surface ruins as Roman buildings, but extensive excavations have shown all near-surface buildings were constructed during the Islamic Period.
