| Area 8: Non-elite houses | |||||
Area 8 is situated along the western edge of the mound at a point halfway
between the elite residences in Area 2 and the cluster of commercial buildings
(inns, market, and bath) in Areas 4, 5, 6, and 7.
Fieldwork in Area 8 began in 1996 and was jointly supervised by
Sharon Doere and Patrick Berger. Fieldwork in Area 8 was supervised by Pat
McWhorter during the summer of 2001.
