A new course to be taught in the Spring Semester of
2008 which will be included in the Geomatics Engineering Technology A.A.S.
degree (under development)
3 Semester hours of credit applicable towards
A.A.S. degree,
L.S.I.T. credit or P.L.S. professional development hours
This course will expose
the student to the software, hardware, techniques and skills necessary to
function in a survey or design office.
Students will gain exposure to various aspects of the office including:
estimating, budgeting, scheduling, personnel management, writing legal
descriptions. Writing resumes as
well as other types of employment skills (hiring, interviewing, etc.) will be
covered too. Additionally,
subdividing and planning procedures will be discussed and applied as well as
typical real-life ordinances and regulations.
Spring Semester classes begin on January 14, 2008.
