Dr. Long is an Associate Professor of English at St. Louis Community College—Meramec. Earlier in his career, he was Senior Academic Technologist at Dr. LongSaint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri; Webmaster for the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Writing Coordinator and Assistant Director of Academic Computing at Daemen College in Amherst, New York. His academic interests include distance learning; creative writing (poetry); the impact of technology on texts, dialogue, and writing and reading theory; the virtual writing classroom; and the on-line publication of imaginative literature.
