Blackboard - Log In Instructions for Students
The St.
Louis Community College District has made available to students and faculty
an on-line resource known as Blackboard. Blackboard can be accessed from anywhere
with internet access by using a Mac or a PC. Many faculty members are using
Blackboard to teach on-line classes or to post information and quizzes to go
with their course. This handout will provide basic information on how to access
Blackboard.
To access Blackboard log on to https://blackboard.stlcc.edu
Your instructor must have
enrolled you in a Blackboard course in order for you to gain access. Your instructor
will let you know when your Blackboard course is available. Unless instructed
otherwise, your username is your Social Security Number without dashes and
your initial password is the word password. You should change your password
as soon as you log in.
To Change your password:
When first logging in to Blackboard, you will see a Tools section like the one below. Click on "Personal Information" |

The next screen will have a "Change Password" area. Please add your new password and verify by keying it in again. Please also add your email address here, if it is not posted in your information. |

Trouble logging- in?
Check with your instructor to confirm your username and password. If you
forgot your password, call or email your instructor to reset it. Check your
browser settings to make sure that the Java script and “ accept cookies” are
enabled.
