CHUCK GROTH |
Chuck Groth is an Associate Professor in the Meramec Graphic Communications program.
He has been a professional graphic artist since 1978, and has worked on staff as a designer,
typographer and illustrator at the Kansas City Star, the Wichita Eagle and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. His freelance design and illustration studio, Groth Graphics,
has a long client list that includes McDonnell-Douglas (now Boeing) Aircraft, the Associated Press,
Purina Mills, Adriatic Travel, Willow Music, Hallmark Cards, The American Heart Association,
The Washington Post, Kansas City Magazine, The Arizona Daily Star, and Plima Magazine,among others.
Chuck teaches courses throughout the Graphic Communications program, including
Graphic Design I through IV, Drawing for Graphics I - II, Computer Art Studio, Package Design
and Portfolio Design. In addition to teaching full time, he has served as a Graphic Communications
advisory board member, faculty sponsor of an on-campus graphic design club, and written
courses in package design. He has been nominated four times for inclusion in
"Who's Who Among America's Teachers," and has authored the book "Exploring Package Design" (ISBN: 1401872174, Thomson Learning Publishing).
