Currently, I am working on several things involving sound, lighting and computer technology:

-July, 2004 : We have purchased a Tascam FW-1884 digital sound board and Digital Performer sound editing software. I am looking into using surround sound in our theatre, as well as improving our ability to use digital audio editing on a more regular basis...

-July, 2004: We have purchased our first true moving head instrument, a Martin Mac 500. I will be looking into how to properly program this instrument using the Emphasis Lighting System

For potential Scene Design and Lighting students:
I take a very practical view in regards to theatrical education. I rely on the student to take an active role in how the course is approached, meaning that, even though a given course is primarily lecture, it is the student's responsibility to apply the given information in a practical manner. I also believe that direct involvement in any aspect of a theatrical production is as important as the time spent discussing theory in the classroom.
