Keep Yourself Safe And Secure While Working From Home

STLCC Information Technology understands that adjusting to recent changes, including your new work-from-home environment, might be difficult.

We would like to offer guidance to help you remain safe and secure as you develop routines and ways to work.

• Do not forward STLCC email to your personal email accounts. You may work with sensitive student or employee information, which the College cannot protect unless it stays on College-managed systems.

• Maintain your work and home separation by setting up a dedicated workspace. Do not let family use your College-owned laptops or tablets.

• Use Skype for Business and Office 365 to stay in touch with your colleagues. You can create secure online meeting spaces with voice and video chat in Office 365.

We have identified a brief 15-minute online training course that offers additional guidance about how to work from home securely. If you work in an area that uses sensitive student or employee data, you will be enrolled in an online course from KnowBe4 called “Internet Security When You Work from Home.” Please check your inbox in the coming days for this new course.

Please reach out to the Help Desk if you have questions or concerns about adjusting to working from home.
